I hope you are feeling well and ready to turn the page of the calendar to a new month this week. July is upon us and the celebration of our country’s independence over the weekend promises to be a great time to remember the blessings we enjoy as Americans even in these crazy times. I trust you will make it a priority to join us online for worship this Sunday as we continue in our new study through Paul’s letter to the Galatians. I look forward to this walk through this epistle that is as timely for us today as when Paul wrote it to the churches of Galatia nearly 2000 years ago.
Special thanks to my son, Jack Rogers, who stepped in to do all the filming and sound levels for last Sunday’s and this coming Sunday’s sermon filming sessions from my home office. There is a whole team of people working diligently behind the scenes each week to help lead us in online worship while we gather on the various platforms provided such as our church website (arapahoroad.org/worship-service-online), Facebook Live (facebook.com/arapahoroad), YouTube Live (youtube.com/arapahoroad), and Vimeo (vimeo.com/arapahoroad). While we look forward to the option of being able to worship together in person in the coming weeks, I am grateful for how we are able to continue being the church as we gather online for worship and Life Groups.
Stay the course; stay faithful; stay in community and on mission!
Partridge Family Care Package
Thank you so much for the generous outpouring of love for the Partridge family by way of your donations of items, cards, and postage costs. We were able to fill 4 decent sized boxes and cover the postage, so thank you all again!
If you have not yet connected with Suzie Burgess but would like to receive the specific prayer requests for the Partridge family through the month of July, please e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org and she’ll add you to the list. If you have connected with her already re: the care package, you’ve already been added to the list. Thanks again church family!
Wednesday Evening Prayer Study & Prayer Gathering
Join us throughout the months of June and July for some designated time of prayer. Philip Burgess will host a brief teaching each Wednesday night on the church’s Facebook Live stream from about 7:30-7:45 pm. Then we will jump into a Zoom call to be able to pray together in a more secure platform due to the sensitive nature of some prayer requests. Check your email for instructions on how to join the Zoom Prayer Gathering this Wednesday at 7:45 pm. (Meeting ID: 933 3651 0530 and Password: 071416)
FOUR PHASE PLAN FOR ARAPAHO ROAD BAPTIST CHURCH
We continue to make preparations and considerations for the best ways to resume in person gatherings on our campus in the coming weeks. As our leadership continues to process and pray through options that will be the safest and wisest for our church family, please continue to pray for the Lord’s ongoing guidance. At this time our elders have identified Sunday, July 12 @ 10:45 as the first time for In-Person Family Style Worship to be an option for those ready to return to the campus. No Childcare or In-Person Life Groups will take place on the campus at this time. Online options for both worship and Life Groups will continue as they have been from our various online platforms. Our elders continue to monitor the changing landscape of our community and will continue to provide leadership and communication as we approach the July 12 target date for making In-Person Family Style Worship an option. If you would like to view this revised plan visit arapahoroad.org/roadmap.
As we seek to grow in our effective ways to communicate, connect and be in community as a church family, the Communion App that we launched recently is a great way to stay engaged. We are seeing an increase in prayer, connection and encouragement among our church family as we get more familiar and comfortable with this great and simple resource. Email email@example.com for more information.
