to all of our Awana staff, parents and students for making this an AWESOME Awana year!We are so grateful for all of the encouragement and dedication from everyone involved in Awana. It is such a blessing to see so many students and adults active in this great ministry.

We finished the 2013 – 2014 Awana year with over 150 students & leaders receiving book awards. We had eight graduating seniors and six of these students received the highest Awana honor – the Citation Award. We have the best directors, leaders, secretaries and shepherds that can be found in any Awana club. Arapaho Road is blessed to have these men and women serving in this ministry.

We are already hard at work making plans for our 22nd Awana year. We desperately need a minimum of 25 adults to step up and join our Awana family as leaders, secretaries and shepherds. We also have a couple of director positions available for next year. Please pray about this decision now. We have over 200 students in attendance each week that are hungry to learn God’s Word. Please pray that God will provide us with the adults we need to meet this huge need in Awana.

Awana will return on Sunday, September 7, 2014. The last couple of weeks of July and most of August will be spent training all our Awana staff. Awana is making changes to several areas this next year and we need to make sure that we are all trained in these areas.

We have also taken on the challenge of reaching our neighborhoods surrounding our church and beyond with the Gospel of Christ! Please join us in this GREAT CHALLENGE!                       – Bill and Nancy Sword
